The Forester comes in a variety of models to suit your lifestyle and bank balance. The Forester X (5-speed manual dual range or Electronic 4-speed SPORTSHIFT2), XS and XS Premium (5-speed manual dual range or Electronic 4-speed SPORTSHIFT2) and the XT and XT Premium (5-speed manual or Electronic 4-speed SPORTSHIFT2). So even the most fastidious buyer has a good choice of options, and all are available in a range of classic metallic and pearl colours and interiors (including leather seats  and leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshifts in some models). SPORTSHIFT2 is a registered trademark of Prodrive Ltd.

Forester’s symmetrical drive train produces a well-balance vehicle, while its horizontally opposed Boxer Engine allows for a lower centre of gravity. The All-Wheel Drive system distributes power to all four wheels. For you, the driver, this means great balance, and predictable control over your

The Forest X and the XS models both feature the Horizontally-opposed 4 –cylinder, 4 stroke petrol engine with SOHC 16-valve with Active Valve Lift System (AVLS) valve mechanism; whilst the XT models having the same engine, features a DOHC 16-valve turbocharged Active Valve Control System (AVCS). Whichever model you choose, you’ll adore its outstanding driving experience in any environment.

Let’s start with the Forester X, just to wet your appetite. The mid-size exterior cleverly hides an impressive amount of passenger space, and cargo areas, whilst its 2.5 litre boxer engine provides plenty of power, just when you need it. Its high-strength, lightweight body hosts an enviable list of standard features and appointments. And it looks the part to play in any adventure, in town or out of town.

Now onto the XS and XS Premium...it’s 2.5 litre boxer engine delivers a power 126 kilowatts to its 16-inch alloy wheels. It’s self-levelling double wishbone independent rear suspension provides for an effortless and smooth ride and great features such as 6 stack CD, climate controlled air-conditioning, cruise control, power steering, mirrors and windows, enhance your enjoyment and comfort.

The striking looks of the XT and XT Premium with it’s 2.5 litre turbocharged engine producing 169 kilowatts of power at 5,200rpm will have you in awe. As in all Forester models, it features a Multi-point injection (MPI) fuel system, Rack and Pinion Hydraulic Assist steering, Ventilated front discs and rear discs, 17 inch alloys, and a Multi-information DVD Satellite Navigation with 7” VGA LCD Screen10, Bluetooth and an entertainment system to envy. 10. The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) was formed to provide independent and consistent information for consumers on vehicle occupant protection in 1992. It published its first results in 1993. The results include comparative ratings on how well a vehicle is likely to protect its occupants & pedestrians in collisions. The occupant rating & pedestrian ratings are out of 5 stars and 4 stars respectively
