As mentioned previously, the Liberty has been heavily awarded over the past 12 years. It’s latest award being the 2006 International Engine of the Year Award, 2.0-2.5-litre class, Liberty GT and GT spec. B (2.5-litre turbocharged horizontally opposed Boxer Engine). It’s entry into the Awards was in 1994 winning the Wheel’s Magazine, Car of the Year. So if that doesn’t impress you, what will, we ask?

Liberty comes in a variety of models to suit your particular criteria. All models come in either Sedan or Wagon, and our starting point is the 2.0R (5MT or 4AT), the 2.5i (5MT or 4AT), the 2.5i Premium (4AT), the 2.5GT (5AT), the 2.5GT spec. B (6MT OR 5AT), the 3.0R (5AT), the 3.0R spec. B. (6MT or 5AT).  Definitely a good choice of options, and all available in a range of classic colours and interiors (including leather steering wheel, gear shift and park brake).



Liberty’s horizontally opposed Boxer Engine means a lower centre of gravity and the symmetrical drive train produces a well-balance vehicle. Let’s move onto the Liberty 2.5i (& 2.5i Premium), with its exceptional pulling power among the natural aspirated four-cylinder variants, producing 226 Newtonmetres of toque plus 121 Kilowatts of power. This vehicle is pure sophistication with its electric sunroof, 6 stack in-dash CD entertainment system, leather trim, 8-way adjustable power driver’s seat with dual memory function, plus privacy glass on rear window. The high performance Liberty 3.0R and 3.0R spec. B., are Liberty’s six cylinder vehicles, offering a massive 180 kilowatts of  torque. 3.0R also features a very capable All-Wheel Drive system, and Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE), making it a formidable package, with it’s superior luxury, handling and performance levels.
