The All-Wheel Drive Subaru TRIBECA is a new breed of luxury SUV, providing space for the growing family, but the agility of a sports car! It’s bold, award winning contemporary styling and vastly spacious interior complements its class leading technology and safety credentials. It’s available in a choice of 5 or 7 seats and features outstanding active and passive safety, combined with superb drivability.

The new TRIBECA is powered by a newly designed lighter 3.6 litre six-cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer engine, producing 190 kilowatts of power at 6000 rpm and 350 Newton meters of torque at 4000 rpm. TRIBECA offers an impressive braked towing capacity of 2000kg with a download weight of 160kg, ideal for hauling mod-size caravans and boat trailers.

TRIBECA also features our dual Active Valve Control system (DAVCS), ensuring optimum power and torque output, complemented by improved fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions. This new economical engine boats a combined fuel consumption of 11.6 litres per 100 kms, making TRIBECA a formidable combination of reliability, durability and engineering.

The innovative electronically controlled 5-speed SPORTSHIFT* automatic transmission has been brilliantly designed, providing you with the option to instantly change up or down a gear via the stick shifter, using ‘direct’ electro-hydraulic control This intelligent SPORTSHIFT* features active torque split which distributes torque to the front and rear wheels smoothly and quickly depending on your driving conditions and style.  TRIBECA offers a low engine mounting position for an even lower centre of gravity and rigidity to improve stability. SUBARU’s newly developed Intelligent Chassis design is light yet strong and when combined with it’s fully independent suspension system provides world-class stability and control, particularly when cornering.

TRIBECA’S safety starts with constant All-Wheel drive, but it is further enhanced by Sophisticated Anti-lock Braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Vehicle Dynamics Control system (VDC), and a REVERSE rear vision camera. SUBARU has also achieved the maximum five-star ANCAP rating for occupant safety for EVERY model in our range with a host of superior passenger protection features in each and every SUBARU vehicle.

TRIBECA is available in the 3.6R 5 seat and the 3.6R 5 seat PREMIUM; OR the 3.6R 7 seat and the 3.6R seat PREMIUM model, with all models being of automatic transmission with Multi point sequential fuel injection fuel system. All engine types are DOHC with Dual AVCS and Drive-by-wire Electronic throttle control system.
